Keele Bellringing Courses


Bellringing courses have been run at Keele for over 20 years. The courses feature small mixed ability groups with a high tutor to student ratio and extensive use of simulators. Simulators allow the eight bell course to use just one tower and the six bell courses just two towers which are only a few minutes apart. This minimises travelling and maximises your ringing time.

2009 Courses
The following courses are being offered in 2009:

Course A (6 Bell) - Thursday August 20th to Saturday August 22nd
This course will comprise a mixture of practical sessions, tutorials and simulator sessions.

Course B (6 Bell) - Thursday June 25th to Saturday June 27th
This course will have a special emphasis on ringing skills.

Course C (8 Bell) - Thursday July 23rd to Saturday July 25th
This is a Surprise Major course. It will cater both for those just starting to
ring Surprise Major and those wishing to advance to further methods.

All will follow the traditional Keele pattern of small friendly ringing courses with minimal travelling, high quality tutors, extensive use of simulators and a wide range of tutorial options.
